Blast At Green Lake

I go to Green Lake every year. My family rents a house on the lake. Everyday we go swimming. We have a Launch Pod that sits 10 feet from our dock. The “Pod” is awesome because we play games, scare each other, laugh and have a blast! This year, I tried something new on the Pod…back flips! It is so much fun! This year we went with two other families, the Sager’s and the Peters’. When we arrive, we unpack the car, put our swimsuits on and stay that way for the entire week! We go swimming every single day! We also go boating. After a day on the water, we eat dinner and play cards. And of course we have to have a bed time snack so we bake cookies.

My younger sister, Ava, made me laugh all week! She did not like to be pushed in the water. She would scream at the top of her lungs if someone tried to push her in. The funny thing is as soon as Ava stopped screaming, she would plug her nose and jump right in. Going into the water had to be on her terms.

This summer, I tried water skiing! And guess what? I got up and stayed up for a long time! It was awesome! We also went to the beach this year. We all had a blast there! Tubing was the hit of the summer!

We love to go the candy store! Every year we go to the Goose Blind for dinner. I always get the tacos. This year, the only bummer part of the trip was not catching any fish. Oh well, there is always next year!

Sister Love Club

How many of you have sisters? I sure do. Sisters are here and there and everywhere. I have two sisters. They are crazy! They want all my stuff. It’s so unfair. Sisters are animals. They are so weird. Sometimes they have no sense of humor. Sisters can be nice and mean. Especially my sisters. They take everything of mine. It’s so annoying! Sometimes I can’t take it! If I get new make-up it’s gone in a day because of them! They want to hang out with me and my friends when we don’t want them to! My sisters make a mess in my room and I have to pick it up. When they sleep on my floor they leave a mess. I don’t like it. I mean, I need a break! I don’t like it when I have to pick up after them! Did you have to pick up after your sisters?

If I make a quilt they take it. I can’t think right with them around. I can’t do anything with out being interrupted. One time Ava colored on my homework, I got so mad at her. Another time I was reading a sad book, Lauryn and Ava took the book and removed the bookmark from it. I was so mad that I had to start all over again.

Now enough with the bad things about having sisters. Lets go on to the good things. If you ask for a glass of milk and your sister says, “What will you give me?” Just give them something fake. One thing is that you are getting a glass of milk. It’s like room service! It’s so nice not having to do it. Just because you and your sisters fight, does not mean you don’t love each other.

In a family you should know that you can believe in each other. You can tell your family anything. Love is the most important thing about a family. If love does not exist, there is a missing piece in the puzzle. Everyday families are laughing about something that happened throughout the day. Families can go to many places like the Farmer’s Market. Many families love nature. There are so many things to do in nature. Love is everywhere. Love is the best thing ever.

For Christmas, some people wish for love. The only thing in your heart is love. When somebody gives you something it shows that they love you. When people laugh it shows that they care and love you. Love is bigger than anything in the world and outer space combined. Love is here, there and everywhere. How many times can you say the word love? You can see love in every smile! Just remember that love is in a family’s heart all the time!!!

My First Blog Entry

This is my very first blog entry!!!! I have been waiting for this day to come for years now! The other day my dad came home from work and had the biggest surprise ever! He said, “Maia, I have a surprise for you!” I asked what it was and he said, ”You can start blogging!” I was so happy! Here I am today writing my very first blog.

Now let me introduce myself. My name is Maia Bibbs. I am 8 years old. I have two sisters, Lauryn and Ava. Sometimes they are annoying, but loving too! My mom’s name is Kate and my dad’s name is Tony.

I am going into 3rd grade. My hobbies include playing with my friends, gymnastics, reading, fashion and anything outdoors. My favorite thing to do is write. My first grade teacher, Mrs. Poland, got me interested in blogging. She said I was great at writing. I love to write! I hope you enjoyed my first blog entry!
